INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS IN THE NETHERLANDS
Below you can find a list of all international schools in the country – sorted in alphabetical order by city.
Uniquely, the Dutch government subsidizes a couple of international schools to support the expat community. The fees of these schools are usually between 4,500 and 5,500 euros per year, per child for primary, and around 7,000 euros for secondary school. In the list below, these schools are marked with an *.
Then there are also some international schools which are subsidized by the government of the country or region they are related to, for example the French, Japanese and European schools.
For the private international schools, the parents need to pay all school fees, usually starting at around 15,000 euros per year.
If you are eligible for the 30% tax deduction ruling, you could ask your employer for a (partial) reimbursement of your extraterritorial costs for school fees. More info about this you can find on the website of .
All of the below international schools teach in English, unless indicated otherwise.
Most of these schools have a waiting list, so, if possible, you should inquire about availability before you move to the Netherlands.

Curriculum: International Primary Curriculum (IPC); about 30% in English and 70% in Dutch, followed by the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC), in Dutch with some subjects in English. Then students have the choice between following the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in English, or get their MAVO or HAVO diploma in Dutch. They don’t offer the Dutch VWO track, nor the IBMYP program in English.
They are a Dutch school, partly taught in English, with an international population and mindset.
